AODA Web Accessibility Development

After creating a web design that is mechanically functional and conveniently operational for all users, in compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level 2AA section of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the next step is to make sure that you are dealing with a team of professionals who can actually develop, integrate, and launch the website. This is no easy task for those without specific training and knowledge of the highly specialized technology and hardware/software which handles the numerous tasks and functions required for greater accessibility and usability.

AODA Website Accessibility Deadline

Some website owners or managers prefer to have their own IT technician or team involved. Others may have no interest in anything other than having the web development project be completed correctly and on-schedule. Regardless of how much or how little you want to be a part of the process, the fact is that it still has to be done.

January of 2021 is the deadline for being in compliance with the subsection of the AODA mentioned in the first paragraph, regarding website accessibility. Most businesses and other types of providers who don’t have major IT and development departments behind them will need their own assistance with implementing these changes. That’s what we’re here for.
